Jeannie Huckstep,

Jeannie Huckstep is Managing Member, with full responsibility for the success of the firm. Jeannie ensures that Huckstep & Associates is always at the top of its game by staying on the cutting edge of technology and ensuring the team is constantly adding to its knowledge base. Jeannie isn’t in love with technology so much as with what it can do for clients.
A Certified Public Accountant, Jeannie enjoys demolishing the myth that accountants are “bean counters with green eye shades”. On any given day, she might be helping an organization set up payroll, reviewing staffing and workflow and pinpointing areas for efficiency improvement, or just giving help where help is needed. That’s why she’s assembled a team of people who like people. She’s genuinely interested in her clients and their organizational missions, and her goal is to harness technology in service of those missions. Jeannie excels at analyzing operations and lending a fresh eye to cutting waste, and her calm presence is a positive influence on everyone around her.
Jeannie is equally committed to her team and seeks to foster a workplace in which employees flourish professionally and have plenty of time to spend with family and community. The outdoors inspire Jeannie, especially mountains and oceans which she aims to capture through her camera’s increasingly sure and steady lens.

Danae Bridges,
CPA and Staff Accountant

Danae Bridges is a CPA, and works in accounting, tax, payroll, and Sage MIP consulting. Her prior experience includes tax, accounting, and auditing work for a range of companies, including an accounting officer role at a bank, and public accounting with both small and large CPA firms.
Intellectually curious, Danae is thrilled to work with Huckstep & Associates’ diverse clients nationwide because she learns something new and valuable from every client and project. Danae’s clients know that she’s the go-to person when it comes to helping them step-by-step with detailed payroll, accounting and tax issues. Her enjoyment of working with clients all over the country comes from a desire to learn about different regions and cultures. Because of this cultural curiosity, Danae has world-traveler ambitions and aims to swim at least once in every major body of water in the world.

Steve Hamel,

Steve Hamel brings to Huckstep & Associates over 15 years of experience in Sage Abra HRMS both as a business partner and implementation specialist. Steve has extensive knowledge of all Sage Abra versions and modules including SQL and web based applications. Steve is most happy in his career when successful solutions are achieved with new implementations or existing ones. Steve takes pride in ensuring clients are well trained on the solutions provided and become as self-sufficient as possible. Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with family and especially activities that involve his two college age children. Steve also enjoys most spectator sports and playing golf when he can.

Rick Meeks,
Senior MIP Consultant

Rick Meeks joins Huckstep & Associates with over 12 years of experience in the nonprofit community both as a CPA who conducted nonprofit audits and as a Sage Fund Accounting consultant. He has done hundreds of implementations across the country from single user installs to large international nonprofits with remote processing in other countries. In past years, Rick has been a presenter at the Sage customer conference. He also supports Sage ABRA and Sage FAS and has successfully integrated those two products with Fund Accounting.

Sandra Terrell,
Firm Administrator

Sandra Terrell, CPA, is Firm Administrator, and oversees tax, payroll, and accounting services. She serves as adviser to clients applying to the IRS for tax-exempt status, prepares tax returns for tax-exempt organizations, businesses, and individuals, and prepares financial statements for clients. Sandra also performs internal accounting and billing for Huckstep & Associates. After starting her career in banking, Sandra worked for six years as Chief Financial Officer of one the largest home health agencies in Missouri. Sandra has been with Huckstep & Associates for over a decade, and though she left to work elsewhere briefly, she returned to Huckstep & Associates to follow her passion of helping nonprofits.
What sets Sandra apart is her commitment to the success of her clients coupled with her humor and fun personality. She enjoys knowing that her work with nonprofit clients enables them to better fulfill their important missions. Sandra’s been known to go to extraordinary lengths to help clients, even personally delivering tax returns to the homes of elderly clients in bitter winter weather. In addition to being a dedicated consultant, Sandra is devoted to her family and community, serving in volunteer roles at the United Way and at her children’s schools. Her personal goal is to create a book documenting her family’s history and genealogy, including that of her two children adopted from Russia.

Jack Tutterow,
Senior Consultant

Jack Tutterow is Senior Consultant, with a special focus on Sage Abra consulting. Jack is most satisfied in his work when clients realize the impact that the technology can have on their productivity and quality of life at work. He also enjoys supporting technology with education of youth. Before he joined Huckstep & Associates, Jack worked in engineering, engineering management, venture management, and marketing. He was also president of a group of manufacturing companies with domestic and international operations, and showed his entrepreneurial streak by founding and leading TUT Services, Inc. Jack’s persistence in projects at work is linked to his endurance as a seasoned marathoner – he’s completed 34 marathons and races at least twice a year.

Julie Archer,
Sales Coordinator

Julie Archer is Sales Coordinator. In addition to working directly with clients and prospects on quotations, proposals, order processing, and renewals, Julie oversees Huckstep & Associates’ CRM activities and lead and sales tracking and reporting. With her innate ability to create structure and order wherever she goes, Julie plays a key role in ensuring the firm’s software business runs smoothly and efficiently. Julie’s experience includes work as a construction loan processor, a pension administrator, and a coordinator of functions across departments.
Like her colleagues, Julie derives satisfaction from helping clients leverage technology and developing lasting client relationships. Outside of work, Julie thrives on staying physically active with her family, especially with outdoor activities. As a wife and mother of two children, she enjoys sharing with them the benefits of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
